Undergraduate Minor

The College of Letters and Sciences stipulates a total of five upper-division courses to be taken for a minor, one of which must be a unifying course (viz., Introduction to Jewish Studies). At least three of these courses must be UCB courses. All five courses must be taken for a letter grade.

Introduction to Jewish Studies (2 units, two 75-minute sessions weekly). This class is team-taught by the Jewish Studies faculty. The aim of this class is to present an overview of the major periods and the appropriate disciplinary perspectives in Jewish Studies.
